Turning a 19th century warehouse into a modern workplace

40 Beaver Street

Albany, New York

Flexible Modern Workplace

CSArch’s Albany office renovation was designed by Mesiti-Ceas and Mastracci with support from CSArch’s interiors group and A/E staff.

The clean and cool tone of the renovation of this 19th century warehouse contrasts the historical nature of the space. Natural daylight now penetrates the floor plate and reaches all employees for a healthy, naturally lit environment. Furniture systems are laid out to support project team-based work with small meeting areas dispersed throughout. The new space responds to today’s work place with a living space, open kitchen and various formal and informal meeting spaces of differing size.
